IPL 2025: Here is the full list of players who have captained Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League over the years.

Delhi Capitals have appointed Axar Patel as their full-time captain for the 2025 IPL season, replacing Rishabh Pant, who led the team last year.

Axar becomes the 13th player to captain the Delhi team in the IPL. He had previously captained the team in one match last year, against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Despite having captains like Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, and David Warner, Delhi Capitals have never won the IPL trophy. The closest they came to winning was in 2020 when Shreyas Iyer led them to the final, but they lost to Mumbai Indians.
