The Knights will begin their campaign with the opening match of the Indian Premier League 2025 against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on March 22 at the Eden Gardens.

KKR head coach Chandrakant Pandit believes that the team's two players, spinner Varun Chakaravarthy and pacer Harshit Rana, will be very helpful for the team. Their confidence has grown after playing for India and being key players in helping the national team win the Champions Trophy.

The Kolkata Knight Riders will start their IPL 2025 campaign with the opening match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 22 at Eden Gardens.

"They have been doing really well, not just in the Champions Trophy but also for India and KKR in the last two seasons. They have been key players, and we also have other important players like Sunil Narine," said Pandit during the KKR press conference in Kolkata on Thursday.

He added, "The best thing is the confidence they will bring from their international experience to KKR, which will really help the team."
