Before the Royal Challengers Bangalore's IPL 2025 match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens, Virat Kohli needed just 14 more runs to become the highest run-scorer in successful run chases in IPL history.

Kohli surpassed Shikhar Dhawan on Saturday to claim the top spot. During his unbeaten 59-run knock in the season opener, Kohli helped RCB win by seven wickets.
