SRH vs GT, IPL 2025: Siraj, Gill shine in Gujarat Titans’ easy win over Sunrisers Hyderabad

Siraj’s IPL-best four for 17 restricted Sunrisers Hyderabad to 152 for eight before Gill hit an unbeaten 61 to take his side to the target in the 17th over.

Gujarat Titans Beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by Seven Wickets

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) struggled again with their batting in the Indian Premier League 2025, losing to Gujarat Titans (GT) by seven wickets at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday.

SRH batted first but could only score 152 runs. Their innings fell apart thanks to strong bowling from GT, especially Mohammed Siraj, who took two early wickets, including his 100th IPL wicket. Prasidh Krishna also did well, dismissing Ishan Kishan in the eighth over.

SRH’s biggest problem was their slow start. It took them 76 balls to hit their first six, which was the first time since April 2023 that they hadn’t hit a six in the first 10 overs.

When GT came in to bat, they chased down the target easily. Shubman Gill played a steady innings, scoring a half-century, while Washington Sundar made a quick impact with some big shots. Though Aniket Verma managed to dismiss Sundar, GT kept their cool.

In the end, Sherfane Rutherford joined Gill, and they guided GT to victory with 20 balls to spare.
