Dhoni is unsure about his future in the IPL

Last year, Dhoni said he wanted to "enjoy whatever last few years of cricket" he has left to play.

MS Dhoni has once again spoken about his strong connection with Chennai Super Kings (CSK), saying he can keep playing for the team as long as he wants. However, he's still not saying anything about his future in the IPL, leaving fans wondering if he’ll play next season.

At 42 years old, Dhoni, who has led CSK to five IPL titles, stepped down as captain before the 2024 season but still plays an important role in the team. Even with rumors about his retirement, Dhoni hasn’t confirmed when he will retire.

After helping CSK win another IPL title in 2023, Dhoni had knee surgery but came back to play in the 2024 season, taking on a finishing role.

Last year, he explained that he didn’t face many balls in the IPL because he was focused on giving players like Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja more chances to show their skills for the Indian team, especially with the T20 World Cup coming up.
